Why the cost structure matters

Subscription

Subscription cost grows with every user you add and every year you stay on the system.

Owned licence

An owned licence is paid once. Adding users does not add licence fees.

Currency

Odoo's per-user fees are invoiced and paid in US dollars, so every renewal costs more in pounds when the dollar rises. OptiFY is invoiced and paid in Egyptian pounds.

Moving from Odoo or Excel

We move your data for you and plan the switch in a fixed-scope proposal.

What we import

  • Chart of accounts
  • Items
  • Opening balances
  • Customers and suppliers

2–4 weeks

Typical implementation time for a packaged scope, from data import to go-live and team training.

Fixed-scope proposal

Modules, data to be migrated, training and timeline are agreed in writing before the work starts.

Choosing between the two

Both are complete ERP systems. The better fit usually depends on how your company is organised and how you prefer to buy software.

Odoo may suit you if

  • Your group already runs Odoo in other companies and wants one shared platform.
  • You prefer a monthly per-user subscription to a one-time licence.

OptiFY may suit you if

  • You want to own your system, with a one-time licence in Egyptian pounds.
  • You want the team that builds the product to implement it and support you directly, on site in Egypt.

Frequently Asked Questions

In which currency are Odoo's subscription fees paid?

Odoo's per-user subscription fees are invoiced and paid in US dollars, so their cost in Egyptian pounds changes with the exchange rate at every renewal. OptiFY ERP is invoiced and paid in Egyptian pounds.

Is OptiFY open source?

No. OptiFY ERP is a commercial product developed by OptiFY in Egypt. You receive a perpetual licence for your company; the system and your database run on your server or a dedicated server.

Can we move from Odoo in the middle of the financial year?

Yes. We import opening balances as of the cut-over date, so you can switch at any month-end. Year-start is simplest, but not required.

Who owns our data?

You do. OptiFY runs on your server or on a dedicated server reserved for you, and the database is yours to back up and keep.

What happens if OptiFY's team is unavailable?

The system keeps running on your own infrastructure — it does not depend on our servers to operate. Support is provided directly by our team in Tenth of Ramadan, by phone, WhatsApp and on site.
